Millionaires Giving Money: How to Ask Rich People For Money in 2014 (9 Steps)

Millionaires Giving Money: How to Ask Rich People For Money in 2014 (9 Steps)

I am a single father of 3 children. My misfortune began with a series of events and I have not been able to get back on my feet. My situation isnt a case of financial mismanagement. My financial disaster is due to a total loss of everything we (myself, 3 children and elderly mother) had in a house fire (June 2013) and insurance company's refusal to pay me the $70,000 they owe me from 20 months ago. The debt has since consumed me. I have sold everything in my home except a mattress for sleeping. We are trying to save our home because I am 6 months behind on mortgage and days away from foreclosure. I lost my car because of a high interest car title loan and now rely on the help of others for transportation for myself and my kids. I am an RN and I have a good job working at a local hospital and I am also a veteran but I cannot make ends meet due to this financial hardship.

2006 Divorce.

2007 Death of my father.

2012 December i was involved in a hit and run car accident that left me with permanent loss of vision in one eye and blurred vision in other eye and head trauma resulting in memory loss to this day (the hit and run driver was never caught).

2013 April my mother fell and broke her hip and I helped care for her and visited her in the hospital daily for 3 months until she passed away from complications from hip surgery in July 2013.

2013 June our house burned and we (myself, 3 children and mother)lost everything.

2013. July my mother never fully recovered and became very ill and passed away.

My insurance has never settled with me to pay the $70,000 they owe me after the house fire. I have had to hire an attorney to help try to obtain what insurance owes me. In the meantime I spent all money that I had saved up over the years to rebuild my house and furnish it for myself and my 3 kids and bought everything that we would need, dishes, kitchen items, towels, clothes, personal items, appliances, all furniture etc. based on the promise from the insurance company they would reimburse me what was owed to me. It has now been 20 months since the house fire and I have not been reimbursed. Due to the insurance companies refusal to pay me what they owe me I have had to take multiple high interest loans trying to make ends meet. Unfortunately when you start down this road of taking out high interest payday loans it is hard to get back on your feet but in this case I had no choice because I tried all other financial avenues while waiting 20 months for insurance to pay me the $70,000 I am owed since I paid my monthly premiums for 8 years. I have absolutely nothing as I have had to sell everything ie furniture, washer, dryer, televisions and all other electronics just trying to make ends meet and survive.

I would be very grateful for assistance of monetary contributions to get myself and 3 children through this very difficult time.

I have helped so many friends in the past with their financial problems and I would like to be in the position to help others.

-----$60,000 is the total we need-----

$3,000 to pay off all the penalties and bills that were due on electric, water, sewer when they were turned off due to lack of payments and then pay deposits to have all utlities turned back on.

$3,000 to file for bankruptcy.

$17,000 to save home from foreclosure.

$17,000 to buy back (the vehicle that was repo'd) so we will again have transportation for myself to work and 3 my 3 children to school and after school activities.

$20,000 to purchase back all the household appliances and furniture I have had to sell.

If anyone could provide us with a grant or a low interest loan we could pay back up to a $1,000 a month for 6 years.

Thank you
